Blackcurrant poached pears
Simply simmer 1 peeled pear per person (whole lotta ‘P’s there, don’t ya think) in a glassful of blackcurrant cordial until tender.
If the cordial is not enough to cover the pears, add a little water.
Simmer until the pears are tender.
Serve with vanilla ice-cream and if you like, some chocolate syrup.
