I should have guessed things were on a downhill slide when I calculated that my tin of ‘coconut milk light’ had 16 points in it.
I should explain, that today I began my Weight Watchers points counting program again, and I was trying to work out how many points were in Nigella’s ‘mellow meatballs’ recipe. Things got even worse when I worked out the points in the beef meatballs…..wait for it…..36!!
So anyway, the whole recipe is worth 64 points. If you divide that by 4 and add on a (healthy) portion of basmati rice….you soon realise that by eating what you’ve just eaten, you have gone over your points for the day, and have none left for anything else…Gawd, I hope I don’t get hungry before bedtime.
Things need to get serious around here. I don’t think I’m going to be making many Nigella recipes for a while.
Oh, Anna, it’s not funny but it is!!!Good grief!

Did they at least taste like they were worth it? Counting points seems very mathematical to me.
